Turkey’s Digital Life Coach
Bilkom: Digital Life Coach of Turkey
Bilkom was founded in the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector in 1984 and joined the Koç Group in 2000.
The company provides value-added, customer-centered distribution services to global ICT brands that shape digital and mobile transformation across the world, having a portfolio that includes leading brands such as Apple, Huawei, Asus, Alcatel, DJI, Naztech, Hypergear and Celly.
Bilkom has been a distributor of the full range of iPhone, iPad and Mac computers and accessories since its foundation, and has been growing with “digital and mobile lifestyle” products since 2013 to keep up to date with customer demands. Bilkom acquired exclusive distribution rights for Asus in 2014, Huawei in 2017 and Alcatel in 2018, while reinforcing its decade-long presence in the gaming market with Warner Bros distributorship in 2016.
Bilkom’s growth has been far above the industry over the last 5 years – a success that is owed to Bilkom’s mission to become a value-added and distinction distributor rather than a conventional distributor.
Today, Bilkom has over 500 business partners across 81 provinces of Turkey, who offer 2.5 million products per year through more than 5000 retail outlets, all under the Bilkom Guarantee.
Bilkom pursues its vision to be the Digital Life Coach of Turkey when shaping its marketing, sales, channel development and post-sales support activities, and seeks to improve consumers’ lives through technology. The Digital Life Coach portal provides faster access to Turkish-language resources about products and enables users to share their experiences in a social setting.
As part of its Digital Transformation Program that has been ongoing since 2016, Bilkom encourages “digitalization” both internally and externally as a means to improve operational efficiency and growth.
Bilkom focuses on human resources as the driver of digital transformation: an approach that has enabled the company to improve both employee satisfaction and efficiency for a workforce that is 70% Generation Y by merging digitalization with new business models.
The Bilkom team continues to make a difference in the industry with agile working principles that quickly respond to the needs of the sector, and provide solutions to issues by improving communication among employees.
